Martin County Law Firm Contributes to Food Drive for Treasure Coast Food Bank

Maria SperandoThe Stuart maritime law firm of Barbara A. Kreitz Cook, Esq., contributed $1000 to a food drive for the Treasure Coast Food Bank. Attorney Cook said, “The Treasure Coast Food Bank is a non-profit clearinghouse that purchases, stores, and distributes surplus food for distribution to over 100 partner service organizations – non-profit food pantries and soup kitchens throughout the Treasure Coast.

It is the only food bank in the four-county area. Ninety-seven cents of each dollar contributed goes directly to provide food to those in need.” Attorney Cook made the presentation of the check to volunteer food drive organizer, attorney Maria Sperando, of the Law Office of Maria P. Sperando, at the Martin County Bar Association luncheon November 15, 2013. Attorney Sperando organizes the food drive annually.

“My name is Verna O’Malley. A few years ago I was involved in a terrible accident and sustained many severe injuries. Maria Sperando was my attorney. Her professional ability and efficiency in handling my case was amazing. I can honestly say that she went “above and beyond” my expectations. I felt that her concern for me and the case was heartfelt and genuine.”
